Osalit GmbH was founded in 1929. The sectors were mould making and development and the fabrication of moulded components in synthetic materials.
From the 1940s onwards in addition to the press shop, injection moulding was introduced and consistently further developed. The result was the production of steering wheels and other thermoplastic components for the automotive
industry. In subsequent years many other sectors requiring moulded
components were supplied.
On 01.07.1990 Osalit, having been nationalised in 1972, was re-privatised with a new name as Tessa Osalit GmbH.
Plastics processing continues to be the core business and offers a wide range under the motto "Technical plastic components from Thuringia". Some products
are parts of sub assemblies for further processing.
Our customers include the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, tool building (mainly for laboratory and medical technology), orthopaedic technology
as well as customers in sanitary engineering, electrical engineering and agriculture.
We are able to give the following references: Fiat Group, Bauerfeind, Feutron Group, Klimasimulation, Impulsa AG, Ritter Concept Dentaltechnik,
Rehau, Takata-Petri AG and medium sized companies in a number of sectors.
